Today

Is the first day of the rest of my new life. Ominstallera -> starta om -> optimera.

"The Policeman" - written later than the previous one

I'm Sven-Olaf, new guy in city district. I always have to take the night shift, which ain't very pleasant. Sure it's quite calm at nights, but when something happens it really does.
I remember one night specially, from all others. It was this last week; I was on the night shift, as usual, playing some snake on my private cell-phone. Not much to do at the moment but to relax, take a phonecall now and then ( telling people "that's normal." and "of course he is upset."). Suddenly I got a strange phonecall, and old lady crying and snivelling. I got that her husband was out with their dog and hadn't come back yet. Obviously they've been out 15 minutes longer than usual, so I just talked her off, saying: He'll probably come back home any minute now.
About two minutes later I got another call - that there were a car filled with youths racing in downtown.
Finally something to do. I got in my car and speeded off at the directions given by the operator. I called for backup and told them about the car and where it was heading. Then I got another call over the radio, the operator told me: "an old man was lying in the streets and there was a dog with him." - The location of the man was close to me. When I got to the scene people was already crowding the street. I made a new call on my radio, but not for backup this time but for an ambulance and someome to take care of the poor pet dog.

A paper I wrote at 2nd or 3rd year of English studies

The man was lying face down in a pile of dirty-red thick blood, the dog was at his side still stuck in the leash to his owner.
I had to hold people back, tell them to go inside again and there was not much to see here. When I finally got rid of them I got a little more space to investigate.
His wallet was gone, probably stolen by whoever did this or someone sick enough to steal from dead people, dead I say because he doesn't have any pulse at all. I found a busscard, from there I got his name and address. By then I remeber the old lady, who were very sad and upset, that phoned me earlier. This seems like a nice coincidence: first her call, then some speedy youths and now this. What a night I tell ya, I need a coffee and a break.
